i think its very sad that Singapore has to have a campaign to get people to go outside to play.

and i've seen some banners hanging outside the schools, something about slip into those jeans again, come play with me.. or something like that. lol. nvm. sounds a biiiiiiit R(A).. hahah

in the past, who would have thought that kids would need parents to encourage them to go outdoors to play?! i rem taking a train home, the whole train was plastered with encouraging kids to go outdoors to play. too bad i din take a pix of it..

big sighz. next time, the olympics will be kids competing in the events digitally.. ie. computer games.. wahahahhaha

finally had a small meal @ this jap rest @ YCK stadium after months of saying "let's go there eat!"

interesting ordering concept.. ambience not bad, but according to kellin, the food is just average.

the sushi is 0.99 per plate.. but not really to my taste.. ha.

got edamame though.. 99 cents edamame.. ha!

so like they have a japanese themed food court on the top floor..

i had jap cai fan last night.. lol.. quite yummy.. $6.20 for 2 veg, 1 meat, 1 chawanmushi, + take away.

greg ordered like yakitori lunch box those kind.. also quite nice.. and the corn is YUM! $1.. shiok! very sweet n tasty!

the food court had jap pizza n pasta, jap burgers, ramen, cai fan, tze char, etc etc.. we were there about 5+pm, got crowded while we stood around deciding wat to dapao.. hiakz.

bad point is, the food court is next to the toilet.. and the cornermost stall nearest to the toilet.. can smell pee smell la! yuckz.

oh ya, my in-laws say that sembawang shopping center is finally opened.. maybe we'll go look see next week.. kekeke.

first sammi cheng movie in quite a long while.. quite interesting, but a little confusing at times, cos they din explain the scenario fully. anyhoo, the story is about a gangster's son being kidnapped and the police are roped in to help solve the case, while another set of police who were originally working on this gangster case work to bring the gangster dude to justice. ending was kinda like ch 8 drama series.. very rushed, nvr tie up all loose ends, as greg puts it.

quite heart warming.. very Adam Sandler.. only super PG instead of M18.. hahah cos its disney and everything.. still has its classic adam sandler moments, only less crude. its a story about a guy that was supposed to be promoted to manager cos the new owner of the place promised the old owner that the old owner's son will be manager of the new place if the old owner sold the place to the new guy. of course, the new owner forgets about this little promise made many years ago.. the main parts about the movie are the bedtime stories that adam sandler tells his niece and newphew, it turns out, that the stories come true in real life!

Transporter 3.. was full of action.. no storyline.. or rather.. the usual.. guy is required to transport a package, along the way runs into obstacles.. his driving, superb.. as usual, and his survival tactics.. very innovative.. and his fighting.. shiok.. not as shiok as Ip Man la.. but still shiok in the ang mo way.. damn cool!

i was just at leafie's site, saw her top movies of last year..

so i decided to take a look at the movies i watched last year..

greg n i managed a whopping 57 movies! of which, 29 were @ the cinemas.. like WOAH! that's like 2.41 movies per month.. assuming 1 movie is $7 per person, that would equate to $406 spent on tickets last year!

but heng, some tickets were complimentary.. lol.. perhaps about 5? tsk tsk.

watched 47 movies in 2007, and i think about 40 of them were @ the cinemas.. so 2008 was and improvement! actually spent less! wahahah.. but 2007 we had more complimentary tickets i think.. tsk.

anyhoo.. the weekend is ending.. MUMMYY!!!! I DUN WANNA GO WORK TOMORROW!!!
