went to the beach today..
first time for dylan.. we let him walk on his own.

when he stepped on the sand for the first time, i supposed he fully expected it to feel like normal ground.. then his facial expression was like, what the hell is that?! and he took 1 step, stopped. then another, stopped.

lol

then he got used to it and started running after us

took him to see the waves. at first he didn't want to go near the waves coming in. after seeing me stomp in the waves, he gamely joined in.

you know when the wave comes in and when it goes out, your feet sort of sink a little into the sand? dylan was quite freaked out by it, he ran back to the dry sand, saying 'no no'

but after a while, he just loved jumping into the waves... and he can say 'sand castle'! lol

first mooncake festival..

i asked the little rascal if he wanted to go carry lantern. popo bought him a bee lantern and kong kong bought him an ultraman lantern. he replied 'bee.. bee'. so ok. took him downstairs to the park. gave him his bee lantern.. he said 'no'. HE DIDN"T WANNA CARRY THE LANTERN! stinking.. ok. nvm, i tot maybe take a walk in the park, see the other pple carrying lanterns, he will also want.. but.. still 'no'. !!! he was more interested in running around and playing with the fitness corner equipment.. -.-

then while walking back home, suddenly dylan was attacked by a jack russell.. that apparently got free of its leash! the dog ran up to us from behind and jumped up against dylan's body, poor dylan got a shock. his eyes went watery, but he didn't cry though. brave boy! *mummy sayang*

both greg n i were pleasantly surprised when he voluntarily waved and said 'hi' to our neighbour this morning.. LOL

then last night, we had mac drive through, after greg passed the cashier the money, dylan said 'thanks'

and he sez 'bye' instead of 'bye bye'

aaaa!! so cute!!! *kisses*

the poor boy's got a swollen eyelid though. probably a mosquito bit his eyelid or something, he woke up yesterday with a swollen right eyelid. mil said he din eat anything special, so can't be allergy.

so.. dylan can ask for the ipad now.. he goes 'pad pad' and points to the ipad or points to daddy... (cos ipad belongs to daddy)

then when he wants the handphone, he puts his palm to his ear and tilts his head slightly. when he does this, he looks so cute!! *pinch*

he can do the pinch gesture on ipad.. and tries to do it on my andriod handphone as well! lol

this morning, the ceiling light in the bedroom was flickering. dylan was looking at it for while, then he pointed to it, and went 'oorh'. then i told him, its ok, tonight daddy will fix it. then he nodded.. and went about his business.. minutes later, he pulled the stool.. and placed it directly under the light! then he climbed on the stool and pointed at the flickering light!

he wants to fix the light!

Headed over to Changi Airport on saturday..

running wild through T2.

Reached what was once the Viewing Gallery, now its known as the Changi Aviation Gallery, with a pathetic short stretch of windows to view the planes.. disappointed..

*side note* remember that long stretch of viewing gallery over @ T1, where students used to study? Its all gone now, reduced to like maybe 50m worth of viewing gallery space.. *grumble*

nevertheless.. we managed to check out some planes taking off...

this morning, dylan woke up @ 4am to drink milk..

greg woke up to watch soccer as well..

usually after dylan finishes his milk, he will go back to sleep.. but this morning he wanted to watch soccer!

so he brought me out to the living room, and we sat down on the sofa with greg, watched soccer.

dylan will make sound effects one leh! like he will go 'ooh' in the different tones like ooh! missed the goal! or ooh! goal! u know u know? got 1 part he even raised both hands! so cute! lol

anyway, we sat there and watched, i think, for 5 minutes.. then he got distracted.. and wanted to play with his toys! i almost fainted. 4am play toys?!

i asked him to play by himself, he didnt want, then he brought me to the study and ask me to on computer.. -.-

i refused, then he cry lor.

so brought him back to the bed, close door. he fell asleep almost immediately.

He so obviously want to sleep one still want to do so many things! %^*&#^$*&#

he wanted me to carry him to see something.. usually he will say 'up' and raise both his hands, but last night he raised both hands and went 'mama'.

of course i picked him up and gave him a BIG hug and kiss!

but the cutest was when he called 'papa'. greg went out in the morning for soccer, and dylan was standing at the door area when he left. i was in the room. after the door shut, i heard dylan saying 'papa.. papa..' he was standing at the door, trying to reach the door knob. SO CUTE!!

we were watching tv on the sofa last night when dylan planted at least 10 consecutive kisses on my cheek! he just went 'muah muah muah muah muah... ' until a teardrop rolldown down my cheek.

last night, when we got home about 9pm, the airbase nearby was having their exercise, and the helicopters were flying around.

dylan was actually playing with his cars when he heard the heli sounds, he ran to me and gestured up and he went 'arh' (which means 'up' la)

so i carried him to the balcony, we could hear the sounds, but cannot see the helis.. we stood there for a while, till the sounds faded away, looking for the helis but they didnt fly over the block.

so i asked dylan, go sleep ok? he nodded his head. gave him his milk. while drinking, he kept gesturing up to the ceiling. then the helis came back again. he sat up immediately and pointed up and went 'arh'.

since he wanted so badly to see the helis, i took him to the park downstairs, where we saw 2 helicopters flying overhead.

he pointed @ the red and blue lights of the aircraft, but he wasn't all that excited though.. probably cause can't really see the shape of the aircraft.

satisfied, we went back to bed, bottle back in his mouth, and he went 'vrooooo' with his hands in the air.. hurr hurr

then the helis came back again! he rolled over and went 'arh'. i told him the helis going home to sleep already, he also need to sleep. then he put his head on my stomach but all the while still looking out the window.

he's such a good boy hor? *happy sigh*

lurves playing with his trains. the same trains that were on his 1st bday cake! they went nz with him too! and now they're back on his fav toys list.. likes to push the trains under tunnels and stuff, maybe its time to get him those train tracks!

horsing around @ my uncle's place during a cny visit.. climbing up and down the 3 steps.. over and over again!


geek alert, they start young these days. his grandfather showed him thomas the train videos on his computer, then sometimes when i'm near my computer, he will point to the computer, and sign 'train', and nod his head!

same for the tv! he will hold the tv remote then point @ the tv. nothing happens (obviously) then he gives me the remote and points his finger @ the tv. then i ask him 'want to watch tv?' he smiles and attempts to sign 'tv'.

so cute!!

the birthing experience - gin's version - warning, very descriptive, if you're eating, might be best to stop eating or read later.. lol

Chapter 1: The Beginnings

so at 5+am on 19 Oct 2010, i was happily sleeping when suddenly i felt like there was liquid on the verge of flowing out my v-hole, (hmm.. i'm not mentioning this word so often, wait pple looking for porn appear on my site.. tsk tsk)

anyway, as i was saying, the feeling is the same as on heavy flow days when the menstrual blood comes oozing out..

so i jumped out of bed, and stood at the bedside thinking, did my water just broke? is it? or not? i stood there for a while, kept feeling the water making its way out of my body. lucky i got wear panty liner.. the water din flow down my legs like in the tv shows and movies, so my bed n floor were not dirty! yea! in case you were wondering, the water feels warms. lol

i decided to wake greg, i called out to him, 'dar. Dar. DAR!'

then he stirred and i went, 'DAR, water bag burst'. He stoned for a while, then everything flew into motion. he was running around packing stuff, i made my way to the toilet, brush teeth, sat on the toilet bowl for a while, with the water still flowing out, took a shower, WASHED HAIR.

We were thinking whether or not really the baby was coming, so didn't know whether to sms our parents or not. We decided to get to the hospital, confirmed that baby was coming before we did any sms-ing.

Chapter 2: Pre-admission

so greg went to get the car, and by 6.21am, we were on our way to the hospital. listened to class 95 on the way there, think either FD or Glenn was missing that day.

arrived at KK, we didn't do the emergency admission thingy, went to park the car in the car park. We headed to macdonald's for a quick breakfast before checking in. Hungry you know! I actually can't recall what I ate! I think it was sausage mcmuffin and i remember thinking Hot Milo is expensive.

all this while, the water had stopped flowing. after eating, the water flow came back with a vengence. I stood up as fast as I could, didn't wanna wet the macdonalds stool.. TSK

Chapter 3: Pre-labour

went up stairs to check us in at the delivery suite and the nurse took us to our very own non-sound-proof delivery suite!

changed into the white gown and lay on the bed, just waiting. nurse came and told us, they had already informed Dr Han, our gynae. they asked the usual medical questions.

this time was about 7+am. think greg started to sms our parents about the oncoming delivery. i posted on my blog @ 7.28am. There were a couple of tags before someone realised that baby was coming. then everyone got excited. and i got sms from roz asking if really was coming. i apologise for the lack of updates during the birthing process, was thinking of doing it, but the baby came too fast and after that too many things happened.

Chapter 4: The wait for contractions to get nearer

so anyway, doctor came by, asked me 'why are you here so early?'

i told him, 'baby want to come early leh..'

then he checked checked and said i was dilated only 1cm, they anticipate that every hour will dilate 1cm, so it was going to be around 4+pm before the baby comes. they inserted the drip needle thingy, doctor couldn't get my vein to stop running around, said i never do housework, GOT RELATION MEH!

anyway, i hate the needle thingy, SO PAIN! and so uncomfortable.

he decided on a non-moving vein, stuck in the needle and off he went.

the nurse came by checked my pulse, contractions & baby's heart rate and the monitor. nurse explained the different things they had for pain, epidural, gas and something else. epidural have to take earlier, cos if dilated to over dunno how many cm, its effects would be useless. said i still have time, cos 4+pm, ask me to think about it. nurse said i cannot eat or drink anything in case later have to go surgery. we were thinking, 'HENG WE ATE BREAKFAST FIRST AR! dun eat until 4+, i think i'll just die of hunger.' so there's nothing to do, but wait.

received my manager's sms on the announcement of the birth of his second child.

Chapter 5: Pre-delivery

11+am, greg thought he better go get some lunch. wait later baby comes he hungry until faint. at this point in time, i was having backaches. but NOBODY said these backaches were contractions!! cos i didn't feel any pain on my tummy at all. you know, like how they do it in the movies, they always hold their tummy like it hurts yes? so i was waiting for my tummy to hurt, like stomachache or gastric feeling you know? all i had was this backache that seemed to get achy-er as time passed. so while greg was out getting lunch, i called the nurse, asked for something to relief the backache. she asked if i wanted epidural, then just nice the midwife came in, so she checked and said that i was too far dilated for epidural, suggested i use gas instead. so they installed the gas mask thingy and taught me to use it.

Chapter 6: Baby on his way

then i got a little woozy.. somewhere in the midst of it greg came back. i felt like shitting. midwife got me to hold my right knee and greg my left knee, and she asked me to push whenever i felt the backache coming. Please note, the time is still 11 something hor. Push push push. Breathe breathe breathe. the feeling is like got a super big and hard piece of shit stuck and you're trying to push it out. Then the midwife asked greg to look, supposedly can see the baby's head liao. for that details, you gotta ask greg. i dunno how it looks like. lol

Chapter 7: The Final Push

then after that doctor came by and all he did was 'ok, gimme one more push ar', i pushed. he snipped. and suddenly the baby was out! felt like alot of things were gushing out the v-hole. I only remember myself going 'aah aah' after he snipped, and the warm fluid flowing out. I dunno whether it was water or blood. I think i heard baby cry. But mostly i felt the warm liquid, and the dr stitching me up. I rem him asking me to use the gas, then he was done. i remember hearing someone saying 12.34, so zhun. he congratulated us i think, and he was gone. busy man, my gynae.

Chapter 8: Tender Moment

they put baby on me for a while. it was my first time carrying a newborn, all my previous fears of carrying newborns were gone. so small, so fragile, all mine and greg's..

then they cleaned him up, weighed him, dressed him and put him on the baby thingy.

the little fella actually opened his eye! was a touching moment for me. :')

Chapter 9: The Aftermath

close to 2pm, they served lunch. FOOD! the food actually not bad. happy daddy started sms-ing announcing the baby's arrival.

i was supposed to move up to the ward after i finished my food, but somehow, i didn't stop bleeding. so the nurse called the doc on duty and she came along and poked around inside, and according to greg, drew out alot of blood clots, I don't care that she drew out alot of blood clots, it HURT LIKE HELL! even more than the giving birth! then she left and came back with another doctor and they used dunno what metal stuff, i assume its to hold the v-hold open, and they went in and dig and poke and what not, DAMN PAIN LA! freaking women! one of them asked, is she on epidural? the midwife said no. gas. midwife asked me if i wanted to use the gas, LIKE HELL DUH! so i was breathing on the gas, but i could still feel the pain. i remember the first doc that came in asking, 'was she uncooporative just now?' i was thinking in my head, UNCOOPERATIVE?! FREAKING PAIN OK! TMD

Chapter 10: Slipping into unconsciousness

then you know how in the movies, when they show someone slipping into coma or fainting, all background sounds fade away, and there's only 1 main sound then that fased away as well? Well, that's what exactly happened to me. the background sounds of the room faded away, i could vaguely make out greg's voice, could feel them poking around, and they were saying something, then suddenly everything went silent and i felt my hand drop the gas mask. then a 'eeee' sound, then there was peace for a couple of seconds then i felt someone wake me up. heard greg's voice. couldn't make out what they were saying though. they finally decided no more stuff to dig out and left after what felt like an eternity..

Chapter 11: Visitors

after a while, they wheeled me to the ward in a wheel chair, which makes the wind COLD one lor. by the time i was up in the ward, it was already close to 5pm, imagine how long i was down in the delivery suite bleeding away after giving birth.. sighz..

so anyway, there wasn't much alone time with greg and the baby, couldn't let baby pick his name [we actually had a list of names shortlisted for the baby as you guys know, we let baby picked his own English name! see Dylan, we so good to you. lol] and din have much time to rest, then the visitors started coming in after work.. there wasnt many hours i was going to b in the hospital as i was to b discharged the next day @ 12pm. n visiting hours were 9am-9pm. so told quite a few pple not to come. ;) can come visit me when home instead.

n those that came.. let's see, my mum, greg's sis & family, mum, dad, k & mc, nette, erik, eugene, leafie, kellin, my aunt n cousin & wife, bro & gf, roz & family. thanks y'all for coming to visit!

Chapter 12: Naming of the First Born

so then, with mum n greg's family in the room, Dylan picked his name. How did he do it?

Well, i was carrying him, and called out the names we shortlisted. he didn't seem to respond at first, but did give some reaction to certain names, so i tried those names again. then when baby was looking at me, greg called 'Dylan' and baby turned towards greg. Twice we did the same thing, both time baby responded. So Dylan it is!

Chapter 13: The Pee Tube

The nurse came by and asked if i peed. the whole time i was admitted, i didnt pee. so apparently some pple cant pee after delivery cos the bladder dunno what dunno what, so they inserted the pee tube up my pee hole, which HURTS by the way. Roz seems to like it.. stinking, she had hers inserted under epidural OK! so i think the guys outside could hear me screaming while they did the simple procedure. Stinking. apparently the tube is damn long, according to Roz, i didn't want to look @ the tube, when they were sticking it in or pulling it out.. eeks! Only good thing was, i can't feel when i'm peeing, the thing just leaks pee into the pee bag. you don't feel a thing!

so they gave painkillers, panadol, stool softener..

Chapter 14: First Attempt @ Breastfeeding

at night, they gave me the baby, tried to breastfeed, but baby couldn't latch. try until sweat la, the poor boy was crying and crying, in the end, they took him back to the nursery for spoon feeding. *sadded* nurses said i have lotsa milk, but baby just can't latch, so they gave me the pump to express milk instead. nurse taught how to massage the boobs before feeding. but you see ar, with the baby crying his lungs out, where got time to slowly massage the boob before feeding him!! jeez.

Chapter 15: To Pee

next morning, somewhere during the night or early morning they removed the pee tube, changed my pad (staff nurse said got swelling of vulva.), someone came by to do a demo on how to bath the baby with the umbilical stump. i was due to be discharged @ 12, but doctor still hadnt appeared to gimme the all clear, seems he had an emergency op to perform. when he did appear, he said all was well, but i had to pee TWICE before i could be discharged. so yours truly had to stay in the ward to pee till the next discharge time @ 5pm, and pay another 25% of the ward by the way. TSK. while waiting to pee, there was a $22 talk on post pregnancy exercises & what to expect. Went for it, didn learn much that i didn't already read about. TSK. drank more water. peed once! yay! called the nurse in to see the pee as proof.. now for the 2nd time.. CRAP.. NO PEE! drink water drink water..

Chapter 16: Requirements for discharge

so like the doc said i should get up and walk, but somehow the episiotomy [surgical incision in the perineum (the area of skin between the v-hole and the a-hole)] hurt on 1 side. but the doc said nuttin was out of the ordinary, so i tried walking around the room with greg for support. after a while, walking felt normal again. HAHAH.

so then, managed to squeeze out a few drops, got the nurse to come verify, she very reluctantly gave the 'ok', with a smile though.. said as long as can pee ok. because apparently sometime during childbirth, the bladder could have been damaged. so they had to make sure, and if i didn't pee within 24hours after i got home, i had to admit myself again.

Chapter 17: DISCHARGED!

yay!! go home liao!! proud new daddy & mummy!

Dylan was walking all over the house yesterday. He's walking quite well now, with e occasional fall now n den. He follows me everywhere!

so sticky, like super glue, my mil says. The little step down to e kitchen, he just casually stepped over! Didn't bother holding e wall, Tsk. Ge kiang.

but e toilet step he still gotta crawl over, too high for him. N he lurves climbing up n down e bed! He needs help getting up though. Down no kick la. Just slide off only. Lol

Dylan stood up n kicked e ball last night! Wa! He was playing by himself, under gregs watchful eye. Den Greg suddenly said, he's kicking e ball!
Dylan was standing n moving his foot to kick e ball! Not bad for a first timer. He spent e rest of e time crawling n walking n half running n falling after e ball to kick it!

so is this considered Dylan can walk now?

last friday.. on the 9th.. dylan's 8th tooth broke through.. bottom right 2nd tooth.

he bit me on the forearm last night, and i could see 4 very distinct teeth marks and 4 fainter marks on my arm!!

LIKE OMG PAIN CAN!

anyway, lately, he's learnt how to point at things he wants.. so he's always pointing at bread, biscuits, grandpa, mummy and whoever's going out the door.. lol

this morning, he woke up and crawled to the bed's headboard, there was last night's milk bottle there, haven washed. he took the milk bottle and handed it to me. then he took his towel, also on the headboard, and passed it to me as well.

he wanted to drink milk la! SO CLEVER CAN!

i first saw him take that step on saturday.. was sitting with him on the mat. He loves to stand up whenever he can, so as usual, he stood up at the ottoman. Usually if he wants something that's out of his reach, he will get back down on all fours and crawl to destination then stand up again.

but on saturday, he cruised! all the way from the ottoman to the coffee table! think got about 10steps! WAAAAAAA!!

on saturday, i suspected dylan was growing more teeth on his top row.. he was biting me all over the place and leaving his mark, sometimes i see more than 4 marks, 3 up 2 down, but tot maybe he bite then let go then bite again..

he refused to let me look into his mouth..

then on sunday morning.. I SAW IT!! 4 little white teeth growing on his upper gums!!

SO EXCITED!! that explains all the teeth marks..

my baby has 6 teeth now!! only the bottom 2 are visible when he smiles though.. so cute!!!

anyway, here's dylan meeting adam for the 2nd time. 1st time was when adam was born!

they were so cute at the start, they were like touching each other's hands.. and dylan tried to grab adam's nose.. tsk.. then adam started crying for mummy roz to feed him, then dylan put his hand on adam's shoulder!! as if to say, "don't cry, food will come." SO CUTE CAN!! didnt get it on camera though.

and here i am w dylan in the pognae baby carrier, deciding which biscuit to buy, as recommended by cat.





AND dylan couldn't stay still in new york new york for long, so i had to keep going outside with him to entertain him.. haiz

Dylan is in e biting mode these days. He bites e shoulders of e pple carrying him. he bites e car head rest. He pounces on his tether toys. And he tried to bite my nose! I siamed. N he bit my chin instead. It's quite amusing though when he goes in for e kill. It's like watching e shark attack on discovery channel! Only u can really feel e pain!

went for his 9th month check up on saturday.

he's 73cm (50-75 percentile), 8.2kg (25 percentile).

all this percentile crap just means that dylan is taller than 50-75% of babies his age. and heavier than 25% of babies his age.

it doesn't mean he is underweight ok!! just that he's lighter than 75% of babies his age..

dylan can crawl now, he's like very fast la! i put him down on his playmat, and i walk to the kitchen, take his milk bottle, almost immediately i hear *piak piak piak* (his hands on the floor) he already crawling to wards the kitchen, almost reach the dining chair already la!

he stands up the moment he wakes up from his sleep/nap! its like immediate one!! eyes open, stretch, sit up, pulls himself to standing position.

if there's a sofa or table or chair leg, or some one's leg, he can just crawl to the thing and pull himself up!

but he still doesn't know how to sit down properly though, he will turn abit to the side, then just drop onto his butt. on his cot still ok, he does it on the floor too!! SO HARD CAN! but he like not pain one.. tsk tsk. must be the diapers cushion the impact. HAHAHAH

moved the cot to the master bedroom last night for baby dylan to sleep in. greg had to dismantle and fix up the cot all by himself, cos not enough pushing space for the cot to move wholesale and cos i had to keep dylan occupied. Thanks dar!

dylan was quite alright with sleeping in the cot, i guess. for me, not so used to it yet. cannot fall asleep looking at him.. lol. and with the cot, i can't seem to put him down without waking him..

on the bright side, daddy & mummy had more space to roll around!!

on a separate note, i just noticed dylan's mucus on my blouse.. -.-.

fell off the bed.. :(

poor thing.

he had just finished his 5am feed, i put him back on the bed, he was fast asleep! i went to put his bottle in the fridge, then went toilet to blow my nose, then suddenly 'boom'. my baby was on the floor! AAAA!!!

he cried and cried.

gave him water, carried him, he calmed down. think he bumped his head. left side was red for a while. checked him head to toe.. other then the redness on his head, nothing else.

he could still do his usual ransacking of the headboard, and was attracted by sound, could still smile @ daddy, so all seems fine. *phew*

when we left him this morning with my in-laws he seems ok. chuckling and getting all excited, hopping from grandpa to grandma to me to grandpa to grandma, then drank milk and went to sleep.

gave both greg n i a huge scare!

dylan can leopard crawl now.. he uses his left leg and right hand more to push himself. and while playing on his tummy, he likes to prop himself up on the right side, macam posing for camera!

was scrolling through the images in my phone yesterday.. when i came across this. forgot i snapped them with my phone!
so dylan was down with cough & fever & runny nose for the past weeks, he actually got better last weekend, hardly any cough, no more fever.. then suddenly monday he started coughing all over again.. *sigh*

@ least no fever

we thinks his top 2 teeth are going to erupt soon.. his fingers keep going up to touch the upper gum area.

and despite his cough, pil say he still talk & talk & talk & talk.. and play with his older cousins.. laugh and laugh..

guess that's good! at least he's not grumpy sick, he's happy sick! :)

Thanks y'all for your concern for Baby Dylan!

He's recovering, no more fever since saturday, but his cough is still very terrible. Coughed the whole night.. poor thing.

on a happier note, he let me cut his fingernails last night with no fuss! he just sat there quietly with his hands in mine and let me cut. Then when i tried to cut his toenails, he also want to sit up and look. lol little kpo!

today greg start his reservist, so i drove dylan back to MIL's on my own. He was a very good boy!! usually he cries when we put him in the car seat, but this morning, he didn't cry! so proud of my little baby! *beam*

and his 2nd bottom front tooth is out! can see both of his teeth, poking out from his bottom gums.. so cute!!

dylan's got a case of croup.

Croup is a condition that causes an inflammation of the upper airways — the voice box (larynx) and windpipe (trachea). It often leads to a barking cough or hoarseness, especially when a child cries.

to see the doc was quite fast.. doc gave him steriods to open up the airway, and needed dylan to stay for observation for 2 hours.

the collection medicine part was the killer.. waited a full hour just to collect 3 bottles & a nasal drop. -.-

ridiculous! we were there from 7+pm all the way till 11pm! *roar*

the amount of kids @ the clinic was like OMG!

anyway, here's a tip for new mummys trying to give their baby medicine using the syringe: squirt a little at a time @ the side of his mouth, near the gum area, not down the center @ his tongue! this way they'll be less likely to gag and somehow they will swallow the medicine!

yesterday the staff nurse was giving him paracetamol, like no kick la!

squirt .. squirt .. swallow.. squirt.. swallow

squirt, struggle, spit out, squirt, spit out, squirt swallow ..

if using the spoon, leave the spoon in the mouth for a while, to force him to swallow cos there's nowhere else for the medicine to go!

went over to my aunty's place on sunday for cny. she's taking care of my cousin's 5 kids. they have a sarong @ home, so we put baby dylan down in the sarong for a swing.. when he was wide awake, we put him in, he twisted n squirmed in the sarong.

later on, when he was agitated and sleepy, we put him down n he drifted off to sleep in a jiffy!

his favourite is the mobile over his cot!

greg showed him how to touch the mobile with his arm, and occasionally i see dylan waving his arms trying to reach the mobile. recently, he's taken to lifting both his legs to kick @ the bears!

on certain days, dylan fusses alot, he sleeps for 15mins, wakes up crying, i feed him, carry him, he dozes off to sleep for 15mins, and the whole cycle repeats itself again. but when the fussing period is almost over, i put him down on the bed after he falls asleep while feeding, he wakes up and gives me a sleepy smile, and goes back to sleep.

*heart melts* then all the fussing earlier on is forgotten.

how do you stay frustrated @ this?

doc thinks baby might make an appearance early, about 20-21 that week..

that leaves us with 2.5 weeks... TWO WEEKS! OMG!! i just had 1 week taken away from me!!

I'm now 65.9kg.. never thought i'll ever hit 60kg when i was younger.. lol.. think i'm heavier than some guys now.. HAHAHAH

selected the bed package yesterday.. best is natural unassisted delivery.. costs the least.. if not, decide on caesarean before hand, because Emergency caesaren will set you back by a few hundred buckaroos!

and relying on epidural for pain costs another few hundred depending on the dosage that the anesthetist gives you

and although i was told by a friend that can claim everything from medisave after its all over, that's not true! to clear the air,

for each day stayed in hospital, can claim $450 from medisave

if baby needs to stay in hospital after mummy leaves, can claim $450 per day as well

all the checkups & consultations for the months before delivery, can claim up $450 from medisave as well.

so the person that was explaining the package to us was saying that, to claim everything via medisave, perhaps our friend took the classic package, meaning the delivery will be attended to by any team of doctors that so happened to be on duty at that time, and the ward is definitely not single bedded, meaning hubby cannot stay over with the mummy.

so yea. tt's the lastest delivery package info from KK hospital.

cos more pple are saying my tummy looks bigger now.. but best thing is, my arms n face dun look fat! MUAHAHAHH! *thumbs up*

only my legs are swelling, can feel the difference when squatting or kneeling down.

and i feel old.. like senior citizen, like when i sit down on the floor @ the coffee table, i have trouble standing up.. need greg to help me! lol

@ last check up, doc estimated baby to be about 2.2kg.. but the weighing scale was new and a bit erratic, it took my weight as same as the last time.

next check up this saturday.. maybe can get the exact weight of the baby..

then since last checkup couldn't see whether boy or girl, he asked if we wanted boy or girl. then i replied, 'if i want boy, you can make it to a boy meh?'

to which he replied something i can't quite recall now

then i remembered the previous checkup he said it was '50% boy' -.- ..

so i said to him, "i don't want to hear about your 50% boy joke again.. "

then he returned, "aiya, used on you before already ar, cannot use liao." like -_-''' CAN!

i had my first night leg cramp over the weekends, then the other leg had its turn yesterday..

puked out a couple of times, maybe one week once?

in my opinion, puking out is definitely more comfortable than just feeling nauseated. the latter is just horrible.

on a happier note, got my first mama present from roz! she got me a bellaband! yippee!

greg's sister went london and bought the baby a bodysuit thingy, written on it was "somebody who loves me very much went to london and bought me this tshirt!" how cute!

then my cousin found out i was pregnant and offered to pass me some of her maternity clothes, (she also just popped out a son couple of months back).

and greg's sister passed some clothes over as well.. and a baby cot organizer, whatever that is.. HAHAHAH

met up with nette & stan yesterday, and they were excited to think up names for the baby..

everyone's been so helpful and happy and excited!
