singapore! my homeland!!
was in JB over the weekends to attend K's wedding.
drove in on saturday about 1+pm.. returned early this morning, reached home about 1.30am.
and i'm never, NEVER, driving in to JB again. *roar*
the last time we were there, over at the JB side, we made a wrong turn and ended up the immigration checkup, we told the customs officer we were not leaving the country yet, the officer said further up there was a right turn where we can return to malaysia, so he didnt chop our passports. when we drove further up ahead, the right turn was closed. so we thought maybe there was another turn up ahead.. guess what.. up ahead is the causeway bridge already!! WTH! passport not chopped how to go back singapore! TMD!!
so we jam jam jam all the way to the singapore customs, went to the immigration office, explained the situation, the singapore customs rode a bicycle and escorted us 1/3 way of the bridge back to JB, then we jam jam jam all the way back to JB. after this incident last year way before i was pregnant with dylan.. we didn't drive to JB.. until 19 Nov 2011.
guess what happened. over at the JB customs, i asked the custom officer, 'need white card?' cause the permanent sign mentioned to fill in the white card, but at the window, there was a cardbox handwritten sign that said 'white card no stock' the officer said 'no need' then he waved us through leh!! he didn't ask for our passports leh!! hence we thought maybe he was in charge of white cards. so we paid with touch n go.. then drove through the barrier.. as we drove on we were thinking .. eh, where to chop passport ar? SIAO LIAO!! reach JB already never chop passport!! @#$%^&*()_
so we parked @ city square and walked back to the human immigration counter. our malaysian singapore PR friend explained to the officer that whole situation 3 times within the hour, think we were made to wait at the office for about 1 hour. before they finally decided we weren't trying to do anything funny and chopped our passports.
tmd. the officer dared to say we should ensure that our passports are chopped. but the guy @ the customs just waved us through what!!
while we were in the office, there was another family of 3, also passport didn't chop, they were returning from thailand.. like TMD la! #$%^&*(
anybody can just enter malaysia without passport one leh!! just drive right through customs, right under their noses.. never even bother to check passport. tsk.
