ordered mcdelivery 24/7 for supper.. arrived 10mins late. tasteless soggy fries. called to grumble about the soggy fries. macperson said will replace the fries.. will arrive in 15-20mins.. 30mins later.. fries still not here.. leafie called to grumble about the lateness of the fries. person ensured the fries are on the way. if still not satisfied, we can complain.

macfries arrived about 3am.. the guys chomped the fries.. while eugene n i rocked the house!

guys left about 3+am.

greg n i cleaned up. greg wanted to pia finish the guitar heroes..

gin fell asleep watching greg rock the house.

went to bed @ 4+

woke up today @ 1pm. latest time i have ever woken up all my life. half the day gone liao.

ya.. went to IMM to get a shelf for the computer room, cos the PC stuff were strewn all over the floor.. kekeke. TODAY newspaper had a VHIVE ad with a shelf that fit into the little enclave just nice.. so went to take a look. and we bought it. it was cash and carry, so carried it into the lift.. and then we realised.. how to fit in the taxi? 1.7m long la! fainted. we brought it to the taxi stand.. the cab driver was like, cannot fit la. so.. LL, have to take mrt.. then we decided to call a cab.. call for those bigger kind.. called smrt.. the person suggested i book a london cab, that one, $8 booking fee on top of peak hour surcharge.. faint.

and just nice.. we spotted, turning into the taxi Q, was a beautiful orange wish with a 'For Hire' on its roof!! OHH YAY!! WE ARE SAVED!

and whaddayou know? it so happened to be a PRIME cab!! keke.. Unaffected by the fare hike saga!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From next month, the price of electricity will be increased by an average of 1.24 cents per kilowatt hour (kWh) — or about 6 per cent — from the current 21.38 cents per kWh. The hike will apply to both businesses, big and small, and households.

In announcing the increased rates yesterday, electricity retailer SP Services said the tariffs are pegged to a higher forward fuel oil price of $96.64 per barrel. For households, the new tariffs will be the highest in at least seven years.

The adjustment, which has been approved by industry regulator Energy Market Authority, is valid from January to March. Electricity tariffs are adjusted every quarter.

One-room HDB flat dwellers are expected to pay between $1.30 and $5.50 more per month, depending on usage.

According to SP Services, a subsidiary of the Singapore Power Group, the average electricity bill for a one-room flat would cost $24.05 in January, up from a current average of $22.75, while the average for a five-room flat would be slightly above $100, up from $95.

Electricity tariffs this year have not always been rising, though. Prices dropped twice in January and April due to fluctuating oil prices.

i was trying to install apache/php/mysql/phpmyadmin on my office pc @ work today.

usually, i have no problems using winlamp. just run the exe and everything is installed.

but today. today.. i had to download 2 installers.. cos the first installer didn manage to install apache2 properly and the server wouldn't load. So i got the mini version, it will only install on port/socket 90 instead of the usual 80. -.-

so nvm, installed yay, apache works yay! but phpmyadmin refuses to install and work properly!! or maybe i dunno how to install .. but the point is..

winlamp failed me.

A day after ComfortDelGro announced what some say is the biggest overhaul of the fare structure to date, other taxi companies have taken the first step to adjust their meters too.

Smart Taxis, with 800 vehicles, is aligning its new fare structure with that of the market leader. Besides raising meter fares, Smart said it would triple the city area surcharge and impose a 35-per-cent peak period premium to replace the flat surcharge.

Smart, which notified the Public Transport Council (PTC) on Tuesday of its move, said the new fare structure will take effect on Christmas Eve.

SMRT, the second largest company here with 3,000 taxis, also notified the PTC about a fare adjustment. A SMRT spokesperson was tight-lipped about details, only saying that it would release them early next week.

Meanwhile, Premier's managing director Lim Chong Boo said the operator was still considering and would make known its decision soon. New player Prime has said it would not raise fares for three months.

Taxi fares to rise up to 49% from Dec 17 with Comfort's 'overhaul'

summary

- CBD surcharge during peak hours, increased to $3 between 5pm and midnight from Mondays to Saturdays.
- instead of $1 during the same period

- midnight charge (12am and 5:59am) - back to 50% of the metered fare
- instead of the staggered 10% to 50% surcharges.

- added 35% of their metered fare during these hours (7am and 9.30am on weekdays and 5pm to 8pm from Mondays to Saturdays)
- instead of current $2 peak period surcharge.

- flag down fare up by 30 cents from $2.50 to $2.80 for the first km.

- 20 cents for every 385m for the second to 10th km, and every 330 m above 10 km
- instead of the current 10 cents for every 210 m thereafter or less up to 10 km, and every 175 m thereafter or less after 10 km

- waiting time up to 20 cents for every 45 seconds
- instead of current 10 cents for every 25 seconds

- booking fees will be cut from $4 to $3.50 during prime time hours, which are 7am to 9.30am and 5pm to 11pm on weekdays. It stays at $2.50 for all other times.

In times of food scarcity while sailing towards the island, I think, we'd be the first to be pushed overboard. Cause we can't build anything from scratch!

When the earth is flattened, we have no use for designers, programmers, hoteliers, teachers, policy makers etc. All we need are construction workers and doctors.

In other words, we are dispensable.

We are useless when the earth is flattened. Who needs button pushers and talkers when we have no roof over our heads!!

	Shangri-la's ballroom's ceiling.. Berry like.. tsk. me thinks.. like haunted house. so you see.. everything was skewed.. off color..
this is how everything looks like with the lightings..	this is how it should look like in normal lighting..
the waiter was serving us bread, he walked around with the basket of bread and asked us, what bread would you like to have? Eileen was like 'i want the soft one' rizah n mas just point. i was like 'anything', and he gave me a hard bread after pondering for a while.. kekeke Berry had to ask him what all the bread in his basket was. *rolls eyes*
	this is the appetizer.. dunno what it was.. got 3 thingies.. first one tasted like lobster/crab mayo thingy with some greenish thingy that we can't really see under the red light, 2nd one like squid and some crunchy fishy thingy, and the 3rd one was goose liver with some berry. *ugh
the menu that they put on the table lor.. is BLUFF PPLE ONE LA! like got so much food like that hor, but its only 4 course. And the soup didnt taste like prawns and black mushroom, tasted more like clam chowder and the main course was fish and beef.. and OH THE BEEF.. just crumbled under the slightest touch of the knife.. didn have to saw it at all! shiokelicious! then there was the chocolate buffet.. nothing impressive, just a couple of chocolate fountain, and maybe 4-8 other chocolate desserts.. and nope.. no pix of the glamourously dressed pple.. cos all din make the 'nice list'.. according to Berry. kkekee

caught this early this morning, well, going by posted time, would be early yesterday morning, cos greg got complimentary tickets to the 1030hrs show.. hiakz. its not the typical Tim Allen christmas-y feeling show.. didn't let me leave the cinema with the warm fuzzy Christmas feeling xmas shows usually give me. so like the guys were ALL in black jackets/blazers thingy. and most of the ladies were in black as well. basically, black black black.

almost 90% of the ladies were wearing dresses or evening gowns. a couple were in dressy office wear, KT was looking for pple worth looking at, but all didn make the cut. lol

in case u're wondering.. nope, i wasnt the only one in jeans. there was this guy in checked short sleeved shirt and jeans @ the chocolate buffet la! at least i was in a dressy top and i was wearing HEELS la. tsk. heels for gin = dress up.

the deco for the ballroom was quite alright, but the red light shone on each table made the food a little hard to stomach, cos u can't tell the color of the food u're eating, plus the maroon table cloth.. like WOAH! super red! the VIPS got blue lights.. like cool la!

entertainment for the night was this australian group called PotPourri.
