Mummy's birfday lunch @ Carousel
	and me of course! *grin
	they have this hook under the table to hang your bags! ingenius huh!
then we begin our food quest.. which i forgot to take pix cos we were so engrossed in the food... until almost the ending.. wahahah
the mussels and pacific clams were yummy, not to mention the cold soba.. shiok! the texture of the noodles.. damn good. the meat of the cold crab was too soft for my liking, but it literally falls apart in the mouth.. the beef was shiok, and so was the chinese mixed seafood soup, greg had trouble finding his favourite garlic bread, though my dad kept taking it every time he hit the food line, greg just didnt have the luck with garlic bread.. haha
there was a Q for spaghetii.. i wonder why.. tastes normal to me!
in the lobby area outside, they have this F1 car made entirely of bread.. that made it into the Singapore Book of Records for the largest structure made of bread. 2 artists took over 61 days to come up with the design while 6 talented chef and 2 culinary staff worked 16 days to assemle and complete the feat using about 1000 loaves and 22 varieties of bread!

in case u were wondering how come no cake? GOT! just the cake pix are on mj's camera..

let's see.. saturday afternoon.. the carpenter came to finish up the studyroom, but its only 98% done, he had to bring a piece of wood back to the workshop to do. the rest is up and fully functional. the electrician came along as well, cos one of the switches he fixed last malfunctioned. heh.

saturday evening, leafie, eugene, law & darryl came over for a hangout, for kellin's & greg's birthday thingy. kellin bought CRABS! 3 crabs, 1 pepper crab, 1 chilli crab and 1 steamed crab, with ginger. NICE! The pepper crab ok only. the other 2 nice! heh. they left after soccer.. at abt 3+, ko-ed immediately after they left.

sunday morning, couldn't wake up to go church, finally woke up about 10-11am, cleaned up the house from yesterday's mess, did a bit of work..

sunday evening, greg's family came along with 3 pepper crabs!! and food from taste of thai. SHIOK! + chocolate birfday cake, double shiok! the kids had fun playing raving rabbits.. no brainer games.. cleaned up the house after they left.. again..

monday morning, woke up about 9-10am, watched 1 epi of 1 piece, then headed out to get cake from Awfully Chocolate @ Sembawang Hill Food Center area. They open @ 11am, we were early. The shop assistant was nice, she opened the doors for us @ 10.55, but she still blur blur, and she said she haven wake up yet. lol. went over to my parents to cut cake, my mum's birfday, then headed out for royal feast @ carousel. where i had cold crab! but only 1 claw la.. heh.. mussels, clams, prawns, the full works..

monday afternoon, went Toys R Us to look for boardgames.. they only have Hasbro! which means Monopoly, Game of Life etc etc. the usual family board games. met up with stanley then headed over to taka, yup, same games from hasbro.. boring. drove over to PS, cause i remembered there was a shop that sold board games and what nots, and saw NON-hasbro games!! YIPPEE!! bought the bean bag refills from Spotlight, $15 for 50litres.. bought 3 bags to fill my bean bag.. tsk tsk. nette came along from her rendezvous with some korean guy @ sentosa, and we ended up buying Cranium.

monday evening, headed home, had KFC, played cranium.. is like FUN la! got many different kind of activities, sculpting, humming, acting, drawing, facts, word games etc etc. we thinks more people and more teams will be more fun.

and that sums up the busy long weekend.

i couldn't wake up on tues morning to go work la! heng never late. ha!

A war movie with an attitude, that is what you get when you put Quentin Tarantino and Brad Pitt together. In fact, I think Brad Pitt gets his millions all through one think, attitude. The movie revolves around the jews, and how Hitler simply hate them so much, sends troops out to massacre them. Brad Pitt is the commander of a US Jew unit, sent out with one task only... to strike terror into the hearts of the Nazi. There are many intense moments, and the irony of how the Nazi with their civility compared to the brutality of the supposed saviours of America.

If you are looking a for typical war movie, this ain't it. If you are looking for one with intense dialogue, irony filled, somewhat funnily violent show, you definitely got to watch this show.

Have you ever played in a game so real, you feel like you are actually running around and shooting? Well, this show takes things to the extreme, they actually get to play real life death role convicts in a shooting game. Gerard Butler acts as the character being played, and is the favourite to win 30 times, and get out of jail. The thing is, as with every famous money making attraction, they will milk that attraction dry...

The whole movie starts with a high impact shooting scene, where its more jerky then playing quake or counter-strike, and it remains pretty much high octane from start to close to the end. Different from other action movies. The show gives us a view as to how technology and society might corrupt the human mind, with slobs behind computer all day living a virtual world. They even have a SIMs inspired game called Society, where actual people volunteer and get paid to be controlled and others pay to control. Mind boggling for gamers out in the world, kinda shows you why some people are so insistent on non-technology.

The carpenters came and messed up the house over the last 2 days.

what should have been an easy fix up resulted in a gazzillion pieces of saw dust flying all over the place..

WHY?

because HDB built the walls and ceilings ALL CROOKED! not one of it is straight.. !@#$%^&*() that's why they had a hard time trying to fit the units onto the wall nicely. so they had to saw and measure and measure and cut and file and what not..

even the blinds guy that came said our ceiling wasn't straight.

so anyway, the study room is in usable condition now, its not 100% completed, the carpenters had to make some changes to the wood, will be finishing up next saturday.

but we've moved in!! wahhaha!!

overall, we're pretty happy with how it turned out.

pix next week when its all completed ok?

every year we celebrate our boss's birfday.. this year, it was @ Club Islander @ Sentosa..

painted the study room in the morning.. in preparation for the carpenters next week.. *excited*

headed out to sentosa about 4.45pm..

picked up erik n kellin..

played a bit of monkey ball

sing song, cut cake, ate some food

played frisbee

played captain's ball.. haven even warmed up, then they called us back to take photo.. then sit there and wait.. and wait.. and wait.. then the sun set already.. no more ball games.. *grumble* and still haven taken photo!!
