Sometimes people will ask me why I did a certain poster this way, or why this color, or why this font. Quite hard to explain, unless you listen to their music and start making associations.
Before starting on any DJ poster I always take the time to listen to the type of music they play. And this one just sort of turned out this way. Very hard trance type? It gave me this feeling of ‘sexy woooosh’. Hence the sexy girl behind and uh, whoosh lines. I just don’t like how we have to cramp all the supporting DJ photos at the bottom, but no choice. Sort of a requirement.
The previous one I did here for DJ Mom Jeans, his music was very hardcore, popish, sort of top 40′s mixed with Steve Aoki’s retro flare. Hence the bubblegum pink and rounded fonts.
So it’s not just random designs ok! I do my research first! lol.
