With this lens attached, my camera never felt so light before, ever!
It felt fun to just point and shoot at things because of the weight. Got is at $570. This retarded Targus UV filter, that cost only $10, got scratched when I used my micro fibre cloth to wipe it. So note to everyone out there buying filters, stay far far away from Targus. It’s a local brand. Epic fail. B+W cost 10 times as much, but at least the damn thing works.
Anyways, doing video on this is an absolute joy. The bokeh! oh my goodness. Creamy smooth foreground and background blur! I can actually shoot ‘as it is’ in low light situations now. The super shallow depth of field and 50mm field of view takes a bit of getting used to. Prime lenses train your eyes and composition. No more lazy zooms. Time for some much needed composition practice.
