A couple days back my charger died.
So i called the South Asia Computer @ Funan to see if they can change it for me (it turns out i didn’t buy it from there, but more on that later). After waiting incredibly long for their service lady to pickup the phone, she insisted that i needed the receipt for proof to do any kind of exchange.
I told her i threw away the receipt (which i really did. who knew it was going to die the next day?). Then she wanted to end the call with ‘call her back when i’ve somehow found the receipt’ ._.|||
Not willing to waste my time without any solutions, i asked her what my options were, given my missing receipt situation. She said she’ll patched me over to her ‘technical department’. After 7 MINUTES on hold, the line cut off. South Asia Computer is officially PBAN’ed in my books.
Not wanting to waste $73, i went down to Funan anyways to see what can be done. Found out i bought the charger from Inforcomm, a store that looked similar to South Asia Computer. I went in and asked the guy if he could help, i bought it two days ago and didn’t have a receipt.
After about 5 minutes of testing, he concluded that the charger was spoilt, opened a new package, and gave me the new charger! And gently reminded me to keep the receipt in the future. Like, wa! Good can!
Because he went the extra mile to help solve my problem, they’ve officially won a new lifetime customer. Yeap.
