Bought a bunch of new gear over the past month, reflectors, boom stands, massive umbrellas, and this cute led light for video use. Tried it out last week at one of our events, but gave up after everyone seem to not want to be on camera. ._.
I didn’t find any use for the barn doors except to make it look cooler. The dimmer function isn’t accurate or actually useful. You can’t get the same brightness after you turn it off.
It doesn’t work well in pitch black situations. I was trying to use it as a fill, and still have the background lights come in, but the particular lens combination i was using didn’t help much. Can’t capture anything with a 24-105 F4 in a club that has no lights.
Never mind, shall mess with it again next time, maybe as an off camera light.
