Yes, it’s that time of the year again. Our favorite turtle’s 21st birthday! I’ve done this for the 3rd year running, 1st post in 2007 here, and 2008 here! In case you’re wondering why ‘turtle’, ‘Kamei’ is Japanese for turtle, so among fans and members she’s famously associated with all things turtle.
Quite amazed I’m still following them after 3 years. The concert experience last year sort of sealed the deal. The insane energy, enthusiasm and cuteness from watching videos of them in 2007 all exploded into reality seeing them on stage. Topped off with the fan chants, united glow stick movements and just all out screaming, the entire experience was quite addictive. The May’n AFA concert came close, but it still couldn’t beat the entire 9 of them working the stage.
Koharu just graduated this month to focus on her own modeling career, so they’re down to 8 members now. Not a real big fan of her, so more screen/stage time for my favorites yay! xD
As soon as any of the 5th and 6th gen graduates that’s it for me. No more Morning Musume. But in the meantime, before any of that happens I’ll just look forward to seeing them in another trip during mid March 2010.
