Kris Allen, the overall winner for last year’s American Idol was in Singapore for a rather tiny concert at Zirca. Looking at the crowd i think only 300+ people showed up. Not enough publicity. $99 per ticket! We had some tie in with them, so i got in for free :D
The fan girls must have had a blast. Towards the end of the show during one of the slow songs he did a slow-mo stage dive. Everyone in front was like OMIGOD OMIGOD I’M TOUCHING KRIS ALLEN!!!! I’m not his fan, so i don’t know his songs apart from the few covers he did, and his single that plays all the time on the radio. Quite a laid back performance. The crowd wasn’t jumping mad. The problem i think with Singaporean audiences, they’re ALL HOLDING CAMERAS up, trying to keep it steady instead of dancing or enjoying themselves. I mean, after seeing the May’n concert, the crowd for this one epic fails ahaha~
They should have given out glow sticks at the entrance. Yes.
I wonder if it was a japanese thing with the lightsticks or i have yet to see it at concerts in the US?
