Not to sound ignorant or anything of the sort, but i hate reading newspapers. It’s loaded with bad news and mood destroying stories. Especially now with the Haiti earthquakes, looting and all. There’s no government over there.
Just today my colleague was in a super cheerful mood, chirping all over office. Then after a while she went silent, and started going “oh shit… i shouldn’t have opened it”. I turned around, curious, and found her looking at the new paper, at this article about the Haiti Earthquake.
It’s not enough that they have to describe in detail how the public got hold of a looter, stripped him, dragged him along the streets naked, beat him with poles, threw a pile of trash on him, set the whole pile on fire and watched him burn to death alive; THEY HAD TO SHOW A PHOTO OF IT.
I mean, my god, how can you even still have the mood to do anything after reading and seeing something like that. I completely lost my appetite. Newspapers are evil.
