There’s just this magical allure around being in a nice, cozy ambiance and listening to a live band play excellent music. It’s like after a mad week at work, what ever troubles you have just sort of melts away, as life slows down to good music, good friends and a nice cuppa java chip. In a sense it’s nearly therapeutic. Of course it won’t work if you go listen to a hardcore rock band.
Photo above is ‘CatsinEcradle’, resident band for The Sanctuary, along Wisma Atria at Orchard road. You might have seen them perform there weeknights, 9.30 pm onwards. Their guitarist (the one on the left) has insane wicked skills~ He can do a guitar solo while the guitar is behind his head can! xD
If you’re feeling blue or just want to unwind, go listen to a live band! After some checking I realize nearly every bar in Clarke Quay has a live band. The one at Timbre (waterfront), ‘53a duo’ is another excellent one to listen to. I hear them play on the radio often doing requests live. Good stuff.
