For the first 20 minutes or so i was in awe of the lighting. Every indoor scene was so perfectly lit. There was always a back light, so everyone had this glow around the hair. Everything looked very contrasty and processed. I loves! Was watching the lighting more than the movie. lol.
This is, to me the best ‘high school dance inspiration success’ movie i watched. Other similar ones only focused on the successes of a particular cliche, but this one followed the ups and downs of different groups, not all with a happy ending. Music was great, likable characters. There were a few characters i hoped they fleshed out a bit more, but i guess that would have resulted in a 4 hour long movie. This extended version has extra 15 minutes worth of dance footage.
“Success is waking up in the morning, so excited about what you have to do, that you literally fly out the door. It’s falling asleep at night doing the best job you could.” Very inspiring and great to watch. Recommended~!
