I’m quite a fan of the Bourne series, so I had great expectations for this movie. Same director, same actor! You can spot the similarities in the camera work. Especially so during the action sequences. Quick zooms, slight wobbles. xD
Long story short, this movie, like the Bourne series touches again on government conspiracy theories. The focus this time being the Iraq war, and the causes behind it. It follows the journey of this Chief Sergent (Matt Damon) and his journey to uncovering the truth behind the weapons of mass destruction, and why they just can’t find any.
The action sequences are nicely weaved into the underlying political story. It’s not as thrilling as the Bourne series, but it manages to still be a nice one to catch if you’re into war/political thrillers.
