Just saw this super cute movie. Happy Flight is similar to Attention Please!, as both are endorsed by airlines and their stories focus around the lives of people in the airline industry.
There are differences, Happy Flight is by ANA and Attention Please is a 11 part drama series by JAL. There was another movie spin off from the drama, Attention Please – Special Honolulu Hawaii.
The story in Happy Flight focuses on the people in the airline industry. The pilots, cabin attendants, engineers, air traffic controllers, terminal attendants, etc. It plays on the subtle and dramatic interactions and situations these people go through on a daily basis.
There aren’t any main characters, so each department has equal story and screen time. I love how the show eventually builds up to an impending disaster, and they all go out of their way to work together, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of the passengers.
Very entertaining. Go watch!
