I can see why this movie bagged so many Academy Awards. It’s long, and brings you on a ride with the characters. It’s loaded with so many subtle emotions. The struggles, life, death and addiction of war.
The ‘action’ sequences are drawn out, very tense, and strangely interesting to watch. Who knew a guy in a bomb suit defusing bombs could be so, interesting? You just feel like you’re there with them, with everyone watching, a heightened sense of danger, as any moment the bomb could go off.
It’s not a feel good show, it’s quite sad actually, it’s very raw, very real. Recommended.
