I know, I’m 8 years too late in watching this. Released in 2001, it’s the highest-grossing film in Japanese history, even more than Titanic. So i though I’d give it a shot. Glad i did.
I found myself gasping at some parts, going OMG, and just totally drawn into the movie. The characters are strange but unique. It’s not the usual Anime styled film i was expecting. I got my mom to watch it, and she said it was good as well. Well worth the 2 hours.
Now to hunt down their other productions ^-^
