Loong while since I did any sort of food pictures. The shot above was how the set-up looked like before the food came. Used the same plate and a napkin to get the lighting right before the actual dish arrived. I thought resulting shot turned out quite ok. Not magazine standard, but oh well.
It’s like something’s missing in the lighting detail. In those high end shots sometimes you can describe their lighting as ‘exquisite’, you know, like very fine tuned. Mine feels like it’s lacking depth. Need to do more research. Look at nice food photos.
