Did a mini shoot for this new jazz band. I’m not so good with groups yet. Like posing, positioning and such. I realize you can’t run and gun as much with groups. It’s better to pre-plan the shoots with who sits where, in what pose and how they’re lit.
Making sure everyone is evenly lit is another problem. At times 1 umbrella as main light didn’t cut it. Should have brought the bigger umbrella. It was also too dim in the restaurant. Struggled a bit with the ambient light, couldn’t get it to level out with the flash. Had to bump the ISO way up. Took a while to get it looking ok.
Most of the shots came out a bit over exposed cause of sloppy light positioning xD. The end results didn’t turn out like what I had planned, but ah well. More to learn.
