The shot on the left was with natural light, without any lighting and processing. The shot on the right was with lighting and processing.
How one processes their images i feel is completely subjective. There are those hardcore purist that refuse to use photoshop and do everything in camera, and there are those that like to do anything and everything with photoshop. Myself? i like really dramatic lighting, so i tend to do things with a lot of contrast and sharpness. My mom saw this same photo above and commented that the one on the left was nicer. More natural. argh~
Anyways, Wilson uploaded the best from the day shoot here in his flickr. He had some really killer portraits, like the kind you find as a double page spread in a magazine. Go check it out~! You can probably tell the photos didn’t come from the same person. Halfway through the set it’s a whole different style :D
