Our third official shoot, outdoor at night with portable strobes. First one here, done without proper wireless. Second one here with wireless up and running. Huge thanks to Rosemary for lending us 4 hours of her time to shoot. Was planning a one hour only shoot, but as always things don’t turn out the way it’s supposed to. :]
JM was our super helpful shades + slippers lighting guy for the night xD. Wilson was shooting as well. The pool shots didn’t go as planned because of the rain. Left with car parks and corridors to work with.
Overall i would say it went ok, i think the energy level dipped a bit halfway through the shoot, everyone was getting a bit tired. But there were fun moments here and there. Felt very impromptu, could have been planned and executed better. But we learn and improve with every shoot ya? :]
Things to remember for the next one : book the function room, unlock the toilets, bring a shot and set checklist, storyboard + plan + test the setups first, bring some music to play in the background, bring a laptop to check photos on the spot, make sure there are highlights in the eyes, and the most retarded important point that we all missed and couldn’t figure out during the shoot : set ambient lights first, then the rim lights, THEN front light!
