Roaming around in a foreign country with Wilson for 14 days, i would say it’s been a thoroughly enjoyable and towards the end, slightly exhausting experience.

From running through the endless gates at Fushimi Inari to navigating the endless streets of Shibuya and Harujuku, from having melon buns for breakfast by the river to an insanely expensive dinner of Kobe Beef, we walked, we ran, we climbed, we cycled, we fell, we jumped, we danced (or at least tried to. lol), we overslept, we prayed, we screamed our lungs out on the Thunder Dolphin, got lost, got wet, got stuffed in the train, got semi drunk on half a can of sake, it was a complete blast.

The most memorable days for me was of course the endless gates at the Fushimi Inari shrine, followed closely by the concert. Other memorable moments were when we cycled around Kyoto on our city bikes, waited hours in line for the concert with all the fanboys, chilling out at night eating ice-cream 250 meters high in Tokyo Tower, and of course seeing some really amazing things at the 10 story high adult departmental store.

Now i understand the allure of backpacking, why some people spend their lives backpacking from town to town, till they’ve traveled the world. The experience you gain, the stories you can tell, the colorful things you see, the photos you capture. Compared to spending your life in a grey room? seriously. I can’t wait to go travel again~
