Recently, our regular hp shop uncle smsed me, asking whether he can borrow 1k from me to tide over troubled times, I struggled with an internal dilemma. the question is, how come he would actually sms me to ask for a loan?!?! I see him only a few times every year for perhaps 8 years already, want to say friend not really, want to say just a sales man, not really as well. So what do I do? I struggled with myself, perhaps he owe loan shark money, or perhaps gambling debt? How can I be certain if what he say is true? It dawned on me on two conclusions, its either nobody is willing to lend him money cause he never returns it, or he really is so desperate in need of cash that he has to ask me.

Next question, can I trust him? Or rather, am I willing to risk 1k disappearing? I thought for a long time and discussed with Gin, she was willing to 'give' $500, but I thought to myself, if I wanted to help him, shouldn't I help him all the way? If I didn't want to help him, I shouldn't lend at all right? Do I risk being a carrot head? Possibly, but if he really is desperate, and nobody helps him, then how is he going to view life? If I were in his position, what would I do? I personally would only ask for a money loan if really really there was no other way. So I decided to help... he promised he would return when he gets his pay.

Story goes like this, he is the sole bread winner, few years back, his mother was hospitalized and soon after passed away. Obviously hospital bill eat his medi save. Just last month, his two daughters caught a viral infection, fever or something like that and had to be hospitalized, as his medi save not enough, he had to use savings. His pay, not much CPF considering he earns by commission, with low basic, so his housing has to pay few hundred every month in cash. He hasn't paid for a few months already, and has been charged and due in court, sent a fine for 2k. As he has already taken advance from his boss for his daughter's hospital bill, he can't ask for advance again. So thats basically the situation. Like I said, I could be taken for a ride...

Whatever the reason is, he needed the money, if not he wouldn't just out of the blue ask me for help. If he wanted to con me, long ago he could have done the same, and probably I would have lent. Question to you now is, would you help?

Who would have thought that Adam Sandler is capable of family feel good movie? Coupled with so many of the other crude Saturday Night Live Alumnus, you could be forgiven if you thought this was going to be just another fart a min, boobies every other movie. Nope, this isn't.

Its a movie about a group of guys, who played basketball in a championship team together, all grown up and into their own family life. They are reunited when they heard news of their coach passing away, and they take a few days out to reunit in a lake cabin. What ensues is these grown ups showing their kids how to enjoy nature, and just basically fool around and interacting, rather then couping up playing video games and getting all spoilt with imported water.

Ultimately, the show is about family and friends, and the enriching feeling of just being together Beats anything money can buy I'm sure.

thought some parts were quite exaggerating and quite ridiculous..

China managed to build 3 "Noah's Ark" in under 2 years?! Real or not.. lol

the hero manage to drive a LIMOUSINE straight through a falling glass building and out the other side unscratched?! LIKE WA!!

why did the guy flying the plane fly it so low to the ground and the buildings were falling all around him?!

there's Ng Chin Han in the movie leh! GOt speaking parts! although most of the speech was in Tibetan.. lol

anyway, the effects were nice, everything falling down, but storyline, same as all the other end of the world storyline.

Romantic Comedy.. the 2 lead actors were quite pleasing to the eye.

skeleton storyline was simple (as with all romcoms) but the bones were nicely fleshed out. Had its funny moments.. and many guest appearances..

story is about a girl who doesn't believe in magic (love), so when she was in Rome @ the Fountain of Love (where people toss coins into the fountain wishing for love) drunk, she took it upon herself to save 5 people from this love thing, and she randomly picked up 5 coins and took them home.

Legend has it that if you take the coins from the fountain you actually take the will of the person who tossed in the coin, so she has 5 guys suddenly deeply in love with her and chasing after her when she returned to New York. and so the story goes... di da di di da di di da di da di da di..

good to watch on a date!

The GSS draw is today... wonder why we have this draw? I also don't know. I was around for the 3 million draw on Monday, and cause nobody won, we had to plan for the cascaded figure! It was a mad rush, and recently lots of things have been done on a mad rush. No brainstorming, no planning, just doing. It comes to a point of coming out work which you have no pride in.

Have you ever done work that you are not proud of? You know it shouldn't be done in one way, but you are just forced by circumstances to do it that way, what then? Does one compromise on standards cause he has to, or does one fight to uphold standards, even if it means rubbing against the grains... some people are just like parrots or leaves, just swaying and repeating what people say instead of sitting down and thinking about its efficiency.

Am I falling into this pit of compromising? The easy road instead of the hard but correct road? Each day I question myself...

this was a cute show, i went in e cinema totally clueless on what this show was about.
this cartoon is about a villian trying to become the worlds most evil villian.... by stealing e moon. He has little workers in his secret basement.. very cute ones working on his harebrain schemes.
along e way, he picks up 3 cute little girls... and so e story goes...
simple storyline.. greg thinks e bad guy not bad enough... but its a nice feel good movie.. go watch.

FOOL! Thats what you will be if you don't catch this remake of the 80's hit A-Team. Its action packed, full of ridiculous stunts, abs ribbing, fool bashing, and has Liam Neeson to cap it off. Now thats a cool old man! The mo-hawked MAN isn't as good as the original, don't have the 'crass' and awesome ferocity, but he does have the comedic moments.

Bunch of elite marines always clears their mission with dramatic efficiency, when one day they were set up to take the fall of a mission that wasn't a mission. So what do they do? The A-Team comes out and gets even...the bashing way. This is a no brainer, just watch people get bashed kind of show, nostalgia for some, but for the rest, just pure bashing, blown up entertainment.

Ashton Kutcher, is there any doubt what kind of show this is? Add on knocked on grey's anatomy lady Katherine Hiegl, and you one heck of a comedic spy ride. Ashton Kutcher is a killer, who after meeting Katherine, falls in love and decides to pull out. He becomes an architect or draftsman of some sort, after 3 years, his old boss comes back to find him, and informs him of his next hit without him accepting. And if he doesn't do the job, the shit becomes his shit. Well, obviously he doesn't accept it, and suddenly everyone is after him!

What happens when innocent wife finds out heart throb husband is actually an international killer for hire? Freak out is the word, and what better way to freak out then when peoply you know are shooting at you!

Overall, this movie is a fun ride, storyline kind of has a twist, but aint spectacular, just a space out movie with action and comedy to wind your afternoon away to.

Based on a game that i have played countless versions from 2D to 3D, I was surely not going to miss this, and i must say, anyone who played the game would be proud. From the monkey jumping and swinging, to the going back in time with the ashes of time, its seems extremely game like.

There are 3 Princes of Persia, he was the smallest and the only non blood related Prince. He was picked up as an orphan and taken as the King's own. When the Prince of Persia was setup as the murderer of his father, all hell breaks loose as they chase and hunt him down. He on the other end while running, has to figure out, who has betrayed him on the inside?

I thought it will be hard to find a good ending, but the show ended with a bang, and a storyline to match the ending, truely impressed. Overall, a show to behold.

Recently I have been really busy...haven't really had time to just relax at home. Things at work, lets just say it hasn't been smooth going. Lots of hiccups and disagreements with the nature of how work is passed down. It just seems as though my boss doesn't seem to care about the team, but just about how she can finish things given to her. Feel a sense of lost in respect.

To me, a leader, a person in command needs to know what his men or team is feeling, how to help them execute their tasks or battles in the most efficient and safest way, at current I just feel my leader just pushes us to the front to die.

Perhaps its my due date...I am reaching 2 years...haha.

Tonight is the night, once in every 4 years, all the people around the world will be tuning in to their TV sets or internet streaming to watch the World Cup Final! Would it be the tiki-taka of the Spainish, with the Barcelona skeleton spearheaded by the "kid" Villa? Or the none total football of the Netherlands, with the grinding and work ethic of Sneider, Kuyt and Van Bommel. It will be Sneider vs Xavi in midfield, possession will be wrestled upon, and the conversion of through passes will be so crucial...the anxiety, the excitement, it all can only happen in World Cup Final. I'm supporting Spain, tiki taka all the way Espana!

After 5 years of playing in this team that I started, its time I call it a day. After handing over captaincy, this past 1 year I realized the team has become a team I don't recognize anymore, too many indian chiefs, too many individuals, I haven't seen any improvement at all, more like it has been going downhill. Like one team mate was saying, perhaps changes to the team is good for it, well, I guess that may be true. I have actually decided not to play anymore 3 weeks ago after my friend, the goalkeeper was lambasted for an error. I didn't see the reason when soccer is a team effort. For something that you have started and maintained for so long, its sad to leave, but as I went to play again today, I realized its the right choice.

Yesterday night I have my first incident with hit and run. This lady was trying to cut into my lane from a straight 2 lanes road. As I was moving forward to turn, my car suddenly had a sound behind and a slight jerk, I turned around and saw the lady in the car cutting in. I contemplated on coming out, but lots of people were waiting behind my lane. I turned and stop after the junction, the freaking lady just drove off! DAMN IT! I WAS FUMING! I came out and look, saw quite a lot of scratches, the lady just drove off without stopping! CRAP. I couldnt catch her number plate, I chased but to no avail. The head start was too big.

After I came back to pick Gin all pissed off, looking at the damage, we managed to scratch the scratches off, probably quite a bit of the other car's paint, in the end, just one or two deeper scratches at the left bumper, luckily no dent. I would assume the lady's car came out worse, considering the amount of her paint on my car, I hope her F@!#$ white korean car comes out with a big dent! KNN.
