Its Aaron's pre-birthday party. A BBQ held at his place. Organized by Lynette and Stanley, with of course the help of Belinda, it was a great time of just fellowship and hanging out. I think a bbq should always be in such small groups, helps things along a lot, sure was loads of fun.

When one talks about value, it always circle ard, what good it represents, be it monetary, support, physical, whatever. So in Singapore, you walk around the streets, you always see nerdy looking guys, walking around with pretty hot girls, and you wonder to yourself, how come these girls aren't with cooler looking guys? Or why you hear nice friends, who are guys and concerned for their friends, and their girlfriends just leave them, without much of a reason? It all bows down to the value of guys in the eyes of the girls. In Singapore alone, there is one reason I can think of that leads to pretty girls dating nerdy geeky guys, and its simple. Singapore is filled with nerdy geeky guys! Walk down the streets in Orchard, you could walk the whole area and yet not see a handsome guy. So? Generally these girls will have to choose by other aspects, and what is left? Stability? Monetary? Fun loving? Character? What is the most constant truth? That the only thing that doesn't change is change itself. Be it people, jobs, lifestyle, etc etc. But what fundamental change always increases? The value of having money. Money comes from jobs, and stability comes from having a constant job with a constant increase in money. With that equation, now can you see why you see lots of pretty girls with nerdy guys? Cause these fellas most probably are making the big bucks! Driving the big cars, even though they look crappy in them. Have you ever seen an uncle in a Ferrari, looking at you and thinking he is so cool? Girls will most prob disagree with this fact, of course its a generalization, and a personal view on matters surrounding me, but look around, and the evidence is all there. Whatever happened to the just loving is good enough, everything else can be worked out? At the moment, I have two friends who are having problems, and I hope they stand on their feet soon. No matter what value you are mates, somebody out there will know how to cherish it, and if they don't? Then it really is their lost.

Another friend has grown a year wiser. Another excuse to meet up, haha. Well, he hasn't been around for a while, and now that he is back, of course must celebrate with him. We had a fun time just hanging around, feel like poly once again, ah, the good old days of slacking.

I think in life, sometimes we tend to be in limbo over what to do, in assertive words, unable to take control of your life. We tend to want certain things in life, but we are still comfortable in whatever we are having. Sometimes we just fear that change, will disrupt whatever we have, and make things worse. I remember one person's motto in life, was that fear is the only thing between you and what you want to achieve. The fear of disappointment, the fear of change, all these must be overcomed, then only can you fight for what you want. I was talking to a friend of mine, I think traumatic experiences, such as rejection, resulting problems, resulting changes in life, these experiences are the barrier between us and doing what we want. I just want to say, we got to stop fearing, and take life by the neck, and push all out to get what we want out of it. Sometimes you need a friend to give you that push, sometimes an incident, sometimes you just have a thought in your head, all these things are given to us as a reminder to go out there and work on what you want to get out of life. I am going to do just that, how about you?

It's been a long time since I went to Sentosa. My, has it changed quite a bit. It feels as thought I don't recognize some of the areas already. To think some people used to call me Islander last time. Well, old already, what to do. Soon I won't be going there in board shorts already, but a shirt and pants, perhaps? Haha. Anyway went in with Su Gin's former and current colleagues and good friends. Was fun just hanging with them.

This happened a while back, but finally got round to updating it, since I have been remodelling my website. It was my first visit to the bird park in 15 years, my, have time pass by. I don't even remember anything. Well, it certainly was a break from my life.

My previous few versions have been rather blackish and stuff, I decided to have a change of look, and to shrug off some people. Lately things have been happening, and I need a breathe of fresh air. Trying to get rid of all the burdens that has been weighing me down. Recently I have garnered a new focus in life, and a new outlook as to how to lead life. Perhaps a push into maturity is what I got, and I'm working towards it. Pray that God will guide and protect me as I push for a new life.

Have you ever had the experience of caring too much for something, and in the end it all turns against you, or you ultimately lose it or don't get it? But when you decide that its pointless, it comes back to find you instead? A few months back, I applied for Citibank credit cards, only to be rudely turned down by the sales staff, apparently looking down on my application. I told myself I won't apply for their cards already, having applied twice and being turned down. Then a few days ago, they called my office, and offered me the cards, I was quite surprised, like how come they call my office no.? Well, must be some sales target they were trying to meet. So well, they offered, I take. There are other instances of this happening in life as well, some things lost due to too much concern, some things gained through lack of concern, its funny how things work out huh? Life is just like that, its funny. Life has a way of doing the unexpected, and turning your life upside down.
